Matthew Hooker, age 40. Beloved husband of Peggy, nee Hanafin. Loving father of Francesca “Frankie” and Dean “Dino” Hooker. Devoted son of Florence, nee Abbott and the late Raymond Hooker. Dear brother of Jennifer (Stan) Jablonski and Jeffrey (Danielle) and brother in law of Patrick Gumbelton. Fond uncle of Grace and Sophie, Godfather of Declan Feely and nephew of Andy (Jane) (the late Alice) Abbott, Barbara (Jim) Propati, Sam Abbott, Margaret (Ron) Gucwa and the late Dr. James (Kathy) Abbott. Proud Mt. Carmel Alumnus and dedicated wrestling coach with many years of service. A special thanks to the compassionate staff at Rush Hospital especially Dr. Philip Bonomi MD and Irene Haapoja RNMSN. Visitation Thursday 4:30 – 9:30 p.m. at Mt. Carmel High School; 6410 S. Dante. Resting at St. Cajetan Church; 2445 W. 112th St. Friday 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials to Christmas without Cancer.
