Rita M. Brdar, nee McCarthy, age 96. Beloved wife of the late Robert P. Dear mother of Joan (Ron) Mommsen, Robert J. (Sandra) and Carol (Mark) Parus. Loving grandmother of Robert D. (Lauren), Holly (Jeff), Sarah (Richard), David (Catherine), Allison, Thomas, Richard, Michael and Kevin (Natalia) and great grandmother of 10. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Lifelong dog lover. Rita will join her family in Heaven including her parents, brothers, sisters, grandchildren and beloved dogs. Retired CPS teacher with master’s degree from DePaul University and proud CTU Local 1 Member for over 70 years. In lieu of flowers memorials to Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, 1140 W.
