Peter J O'Malley

Peter J. O’Malley, age 82, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, June 27, 2026, surrounded by his family.  Peter was reunited in heaven with his beloved wife of 51 years, Susanne, who passed away in 2024.  He was also preceded in death by his parents James and Rosemary (Murray) O’Malley and siblings Jim and Rosemary. His legacy lives on through his devoted children, Peter Francis, Andrew (Lisa), and his favorite daughter Jeannine (Chris) Edwards. He was the proud grandfather of Luke O’Malley and Brendan, Owen, and Patrick Edwards. Peter will be missed dearly and always remembered for his indomitable spirit, his wry sense of humor, his love of walking, and especially for his fondness for sweets. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Mt. Greenwood Park-Special Recreation, 3721 W. 111th St., Chicago, IL 60655, appreciated.
