Mary L. Sparks, November 29, 1930 – December 17, 2023 (Age 93). Beloved wife of the late Donald E. Sparks. Dear mother of Jacquelyn, Judy Rice (Tim), Jeri Lee, Donita (Robert). Loving grandmother of Michael Rice (Kara), Steven Rice, Dennis Walsh, Charles Gould, and John Gould; great grandmother of Isabella Rice. Mary was a longtime and active member of the Beverly Unitarian Church in Chicago. For 25 years, she worked as an administrative clerk for Chessie System Railroad and was a proud union member of The Brotherhood of Railway Clerks. Mary enjoyed bridge, art, her book club, yoga, and, most of all people. Memorial Visitation will be held at Beverly Unitarian Church, 10244 S. Longwood Dr, Chicago, IL 60643, on Saturday, February 3rd from 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service 12:00 noon.
