Mary Therese Cecelia (Delinck) Machtemes, 91 of Evergreen Park, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home, surrounded by her children, on Saturday, November 5, 2022. For 36 years, she was a loving and devoted wife to Ronald N. Machtemes Sr. whom she survived by 2 days short of exactly 30 years. Loving mother of Frances (late Jon) Ott, Emily Finnegan, Ronald N. Machtemes, Jr. and Melanie Drexel; six grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren were blessed to call her Grandma: Maggie Machtemes, Jason and Michael Drexel, Justin and Tia Ott, and Clark Nordwall; dearest sister of the late Joan Hebson, the late Joan Winters, the late Catherine (Delinck) Seegers, the late Margaret (Delinck) Kovacevic, the late Francis (Betty) Delinck, Barbara (late John) Farrell, Howard (Theresa) Delinck, Michael Delinck, Thomas Delinck and Bill (Anne) Delinck and dear sister-in-law of Thomas (Alice) Machtemes; 24 cherished nieces, nephews and many cousins. Mary (Delinck) Machtemes was born on February 9, 1931 to Howard (Winifred Ochs) and Frances (Harrington) Delinck in Chicago, IL. Mary was a resident of Evergreen Park for 66 years after marrying her late husband Ronald N. Machtemes, Sr. in 1956. She was a devoted member of Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Evergreen Park. She was a graduate of Dyer High School, Class of 1949. She worked for a while as a key punch operator at Beltone Hearing Aid. She became a stay at home mother after the birth of her first child and loved baking, sewing and crossword puzzles. She appreciated the outdoors and loved walking to run her errands. Devoted to her family, Mary will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral Saturday 10:45 a.m. from Beverly Ridge Funeral Home, to Most Holy Redeemer Church. Mass at 11:30 a.m. Interment at St. Mary Cemetery. 773-779-4411
