Marie Cooper, nee Filicicchia. Beloved wife of the late Charles. Dear mother of Charles (Alison) Cooper, Lisa (Steve) Lave and the late Jean Cooper. Loving grandmother of Joshua, Rachael, Luke, Paul, Charles, Sarah and Gabriel. Dear sister of the late Antonio, Frank, Joseph, Dominic and Salvatore Filicicchia. 

Marie grew up and spent most of her life in the Chicago area. Raised by her parents, Rose and Guiseppe with her 5 older brothers, they were a close-knit family spending time together throughout their lives, particularly at large family gatherings to celebrate holidays and life events. 

Marie was a stay-at-home mom who also worked in the family business handling bookkeeping and many advertising events within the community. She also became a Pharmacy Tech and found that very fulfilling. Active in church activities, she worked as a volunteer in a variety of capacities, forming strong bonds with others in her church and community. 

After short stays in CO, KY and FL, she ultimately moved to Louisville, Kentucky in 2023, enjoying time with family (Coopers and Laves) and making new friends in both independent and assisted living.
