James “Jim” Hurley, age 75 years, passed away on October 11th, 2025, in Novato, California. Jim was the beloved son of the late Jack and Irene Hurley. Jim was born in Chicago, where he was raised with his four brothers and sisters. He graduated from Brother rice High School and the University of Illinois. Jim moved to California where he worked selling and installing luxury spas. Jim was predeceased by his sister, Nancy Reynolds and his brother Bill Hurley. He is survived and missed by his brother Fr. Jack Hurley and his sister, Debbie (Bob) Bularzik. Jim will be joyfully remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Jim was an avid reader with a fantastic memory. He could be counted on to remember names, places, dates and interesting facts on a variety of topics as well as the rules of the many card games he played with his longtime southside friends. Jim’s favorite memories were of his annual visits home to spend time with family and friends, especially the nerf gun battles with his nephews. Jim will be remembered for his quiet sense of humor and silly smirk. Memorial Visitation Sunday, November 16th 9:00 a.m. at Beverly Ridge Funeral Home, 10415 S.
