Francis L. "Frank, Nookie" La Mantia, Veteran, US Army.

Loving Husband to Annette, nee Jurasic. 

Devoted Father of Frank (Rose nee Harney), DeAnna (Keith Kern), Anthony (Holly nee Villasenor), and Angela (David Dahl). 

Cherished and Proud Papa to Justin, John, Michael, Nathan, Grace, and Alexander La Mantia; Gabriella Kern; Cecilia and Henry Dahl. 

Son of the late Walter Sr. and the late Rose nee Pullano La Mantia.

Fond Brother of the late Marguerite (late Tofie Tomasiello), the late Rose Marie, the late Walter Jr. (late Sunday), Ralph (late J. Edward), Yvonne (late Nick Puleo), the late Bro. Michael, James (Susan). 

Devoted and Loved Son-in-Law of the late John and late Antoinette nee Ruggiero Jurasic, 

Fond Brother-in-Law of John Jurasic (Laurel), the late Nick Monaco and the late Jack Monaco, Mildred (late Nick Bandera), and the late Maria (late Stanco Bandera). 

Dear Uncle and Great Uncle of many nieces and nephews. 

Nookie was born and raised in Bridgeport and graduated from Tilden High School. He went on to serve in the United States Army. In 1969 the family moved to Mount Greenwood, where Nookie passionately served the community for fifty three years. He retired in 2009 after a career in banking business development. 

He was a lifelong White Sox fan and loved attending games with his family, enjoyed Wednesdays with his guys, and LOVED to DRIVE. Nookie was known for his candy drawer and baking his Christmas cherry cookies. 

He was devoted to his family and offered his guidance and love. He will be greatly missed for his patient, kind, funny, quick-witted, and gentle personality.

Services will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2022. Memorial Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Mass 12:00 noon at St. Jerome Croatian Catholic Church, 2823 S. Princeton Ave, Chicago, Illinois 60616. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jerome Croatian Catholic Church.
