Frances Vivian Tenbroeck, nee Vrabec, age 80, of Carmel, Indiana, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, was born into eternal life peacefully on August 15, 2024, at her home in Carmel. Loving mother of Laura (Michael) Hepburn and Jennifer (Christopher) Kania; devoted grandmother of Grace, Matthew and Elizabeth Hepburn, and Alexander and Joshua Kania; and dear cousin of 16. Frances is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Jolana Vrabec, nee Slobodnik, her brother Ronald Vrabec, and her former husband Bill Tenbroeck. A graduate of Saint Xavier University, Frances was a dedicated educator at Maria High School in Chicago for 32 years, teaching both English and Journalism, and in her retirement actively volunteered for the Sisters of St. Casimir in Chicago for 12 years, including as co-editor of their Journeys Newsletter. Frances enjoyed activities with her many friends at Woodland Terrace Retirement Community in Carmel during the last year and a half of her life.
