Obituary

Elaine J. Nelson, passed away January 7th, 2023. Born January 29th, 1946, she was 76 years old. Preceded in death by her sister Karen in 2014, her father Albert in 1980 and her mother Ethel in 1989. Loving Godmother of Gayle Burgher, Tanya Kira and the late Earl Britton. Formerly from Midlothian, she was a member of the Morgan Park Presbyterian Church and an avid member of the choir. Elaine was in The International Order of Job’s Daughters and past honored Queen of Bethel #50 and Rainbow Girls. One of her greatest loves was her dachshunds. She loved to sing, read, collect things and travel. In recent years she has lived in a senior facility in Lisle. She participated in almost every activity – weekly outings, bingo and the top of the list, wood carving. Visitation Friday 10:00 a.m. at Beverly Ridge Funeral Home, 10415 S. Kedzie Ave. until time of services 11:00 a.m. Interment Cedar Park Cemetery, 12540 S. Halsted. In lieu of flowers memorials to ASPCA, 424 E. 92nd St, New York, NY 10128 or Job’s Daughters International, 233 W. 6th Street, Papillion, NE 68046, appreciated. 773-779-4411
